Zakatul Mal/ZakaTul Fitr
Zakat al-Mal (commonly called “Zakat“) is due when a person’s wealth reaches the nisab amount and can be paid anytime during the year.
Zakat al-Fitr is paid by the head of the household for each member of the family, before Eid al-Fitr prayer. Zakat al-Fitr is about the price of one meal—estimated to be $15.

Every year during Ramadan, Islamic Community Center of Gainesville collects Zakat and Zakat al-Fitr from eligible Muslims and distribute food/money to the needy persons in the community -- who are eligible to receive Zakat/Fitra according to Islamic rulings.
You can pay your Zakat/Fitra either in cash, online, or through donation kiosks placed in the mosque. You can also pay your Zakat/Fitra in Zelle.
